Whatsapp And Google Play Has Been Unban In Iran
Some few years ago, Iran government ban Whatsapp (a product of Meta) and Google Play (A product of Google.com) from their country. Iranian state media reported on Tuesday that the Iranian authorities have now lifted the ban on Whatsapp and Google Play.
The Iranian authorities are stepping to scale back internet restrictions even though there are some tech savvy in Iran that will by pass the restrictions using VPN(Virtual Private Network).

The Iran Government have some of the strictest controls on how their citizen access the internet in the world. Foreign platforms like Facebook, twitter and YouTube are very restricted with the type of content shown on them to the citizen but tech-minded people by pass the restrictions though.

On Tuesday, Iran’s official news agency said there was a positive vote reached to unban limitation on access to some U.S popular platforms like whatsapp and google play during a meeting on the matter lead by President Masoud Pezeshkian.
Iran’s Minister of Information and Communications Technology Sattar Hashemi cited by IRNA as saying “Today the first step in removing internet limitations… has been taken,”
During anti-government protests in Iran, social media platforms played a huge role in the protest.
Including Iran, U.S called Big Tech in September to help evade online censorship in countries that were heavily sensor the internet.
