Ariana Grande & Cynthia Erivo’s Wicked Movie Becomes Number 1 Global Stage Musical Adaptation

After six weeks of release of Wicked Movie, the movie featuring Ariana Grande and Cynthia Erivo has earned US$ 634 Million while Meryl Streep’s film Mamma Mia received an amount of US$611 million by the end of its box office run.

After overtaking Meryl Streep Mamma Mia at the box office, Wicked movie officially becomes the highest grossing stage musical adaption globally according to office box history.

Wicked movie which was starred by stage legendary Cynthia Erivo and also singer Ariana Grande earned an amount of US$424 million domestically in US weeks ago that makes the biggest Broadway adaption at the domestic box office after surpassing Grease.

The latter is said to have earned US$188.62 million in the united states that will make the production house ecstatic with the response as the sequel to the original (Wicked: For Good in 2025).

Marc Platt produced the movie Wicked: For Good with the scripts written by Winnie Holzman and Cruella, the original Broadway book and Dana fox as co-writer.

Ariana Grande and Cynthia Erivo who played Glinda and Elphaba respectively alongside returning cast members marissa Bode as Nessarose, Jeff Goldblum as the Wonderful Wizard of OZ, Jonathan Bailey as Fiyero, Ethan Slater as Boq,etc.

Wicked: For Good set to continue its magical journey as the pink and green duo as the heart of the story.

Gregory Maguire’s 1995 novel inspired both movies. Stephen Schwartz’s Wicked: The life and Times Witch Of The West musical adaptation which was premiered in broadway in the year 2003, starred Kristin Chenoweth and Idina Menzel became a cultural phenomenon and now both movies has been greatly and equally received well.
